Shot or Frame ComparisonIt's important to note that Comparison View has two modes shot comparison and frame comparison. Shot comparison will display two different frames and has the Reference frame timecode, Go to Previous/Next Edit controls, and Timeline slider. Select the appropriate legal range for your delivery specifications under the Clip Level drop down. Choose your desired amount of "Compression before clipping" 3%, 5%, 10%, or 20%. This applies a soft knee compression that brings the colors back in range, avoiding a hard clip. Check the box to enable the Gamut Warning to see specifically where illegal colors and compression is being applied in the frame. You can even customize the color of the Gamut Warning. Because why not! Video Limiter settings can also be applied to a sequence on export. Under the Effects tab in the Export Settings window, select the appropriate Clip Level for your deliverable and choose your desired "Compression before Clipping." Export with confidence knowing your video will not exceed legal range for your broadcast. Again, another reminder to our readers that slapping the Video Limiter effect is no substitute for the skill of a colorist. Search and Preview Motion Graphics TemplatesA new search bar and search filters make finding .mogrt templates locally, in the cloud, or online easier. Replace Motion Graphics Templates WorkflowYou know how you can replace clips in the Timeline and retain the adjustments you've made to the original clips? Now you can do that with .mogrt files! Swap updated versions of Motion Graphics Templates like you would other clips and your customizations will be preserved. Simply hold Option/Alt and drag the new Motion Graphics Template version from the Essential Graphics panel onto the original in the Timeline. Adobe says "where possible, customizations will be preserved." The volume of music can be set to automatically lower when dialogue, sound effects, or other audio clips are detected, eliminating the need to manually adjust every point in the mix. Ducking refers to lowering the music level beneath a dialogue track using audio keyframes; a very tedious process when done manually. Now, thanks again to the power of Adobe Sensei, all the audio keyframes are created automatically! Use Auto Ducking in 3 StepsOnce you've tagged your audio clips with the appropriate Audio Type in the Essential Sound panel, Ducking can be used on any audio, not just music and dialogue. Create dynamic audio keyframes with Ducking in 3 easy steps Set the "Sensitivity," threshold that, when exceeded, will trigger the how much you want the ducked clip to be "Reduced by." Choose how smooth you want the ducking to be with the Fades the Generate Keyframes button and voila! You can manually adjust the audio keyframes in the Timeline as needed. Fun fact the Ducking is not adding keyframes to the clip volume, it's actually adding an Amplify audio effect to the clip and adding keyframes to that. All-New Timecode WindowFor some editors, a timecode display is critical, and for others it's just a way to make the edit bay look more impressive to a client. In Premiere Pro CC 2018 the Timecode panel has a lot more practical use! Right-click in the all-new Timecode panel to customize the display options. There are two Display options to choose from Sequence and Source Track. The Timecode panel can display things like Master timecode, Duration, Remaining, In to Out, etc. Under Format you can select a custom frame rate or just stick with the Source Timebase. You also can add and remove lines of timecode, giving you a variety of options for tracking elements in your sequence. You can even choose to show Clip Names in the Timecode panel, which could save a hard squint at the nice thing is you can save your timecode displays as presets and assign 10 of them as keyboard shortcuts. The new Timecode panel is not the most exciting feature. But it's enough make you say, sure, I'll spend some of my screen real estate on that. The odd thing about this panel is it doesn't have the header or settings like other panels. For markers with durations, the In point of the marker must be part of the copied region. One practical use for this new setting is copying and pasting Sequence Markers between selects sequences or pancake timelines. One of the main benefits of the Adobe CC 2015 release is receiving an ongoing stream of product updates at no extra cost… No longer do we have to wait 1-2 years for our tools to innovate and keep pace with evolving technologies; instead we get the latest and greatest features and enhancements as soon as they are ready. Normally these upgrades happen smoothly and automatically for customers via the Creative Cloud Desktop app or Adobe Application Manager. But as with any software, there occasionally can be exceptions. Sometimes the new updates don’t show up or install with the CC desktop or manager apps, hindering the upgrade. Other times, you may have the need to rebuild, restore, or rollback to a specific earlier CC version for various reasons. To solve this, you want version control. Starting today, you can use the table below for a complete list of all CC 2015 updates for all major products for Windows… [See here for Mac] These download links go to the authentic and original CC 2015 update installers residing on Adobe’s servers, are guaranteed genuine, safe, legal, and will not change. In most cases there are no special instructions needed to access these files just click and go. Special Legally download dozens of free Adobe books for a limited time! These are delivered either as complete installs or as patches that are applied manually on top of the base CC release by unzipping the update file given below, and then running the “Adobe Patch Installer” executable. Make sure the base application was run at least one time started up, signed in and activated before applying the patch update. All patches here are cumulative, meaning you only need the most recent one if you want to update your software to the latest version. They are multilingual packages and each one includes all supported languages available. All of them are 64-bit installers, except for Photoshop, Bridge, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, and InDesign/InCopy, which have separate versions for 32-bit vs. 64-bit – and Adobe Camera Raw, which is a universal 32/64-bit installer. We have them all here in one place, so you may want to bookmark this page – because if you ever have any issues updating any of your CC 2015 programs, here’s your workaround solution! If you don’t already have the necessary base release installed for any CC 2015 app, then you can just direct download the free trials here… Those offline standalone product installers plus these update patches make a complete set for backup – and if you like, you can burn them to disc or copy them to a flash drive, and keep just in case. Today we are releasing an update to Premiere Pro CC 2015, which includes multiple bug fixes and stability improvements and is recommended for all users. You can install the update from the Creative Cloud desktop application or by logging into your Creative Cloud account. Alongside the stability enhancements, a new feature has been added which allows masks to be saved with effects presets. The release of Premiere Pro CC contains all of the amazing new features we previewed at IBC in September, including new ways to edit with powerful touch and gestural support, enhanced support for UltraHD/4K+ workflows, initial support for High Dynamic Range HDR technology, amazing new Optical flow time remapping, and the ability to search Adobe Stock directly from the Libraries panel. Adobe Stock now also introduces an extensive catalog of over one million royalty-free video clips, which can be previewed and downloaded directly in Premiere Pro. This release also brings official support for OS X El Capitan. In addition to the significant number of new and enhanced features, Premiere Pro CC contains extensive bug fixes and performance optimizations, a full list of which is available here. Alongside the key features described above and in the original blog post, there are multiple other minor improvements, a full list of which appears below. Tabbed panel groups can be stacked vertically in a column for Lightroom-style one-click access. The Start screen has been redesigned. Certain timeline actions such as snapping will provide haptic feedback on supported Mac trackpads. Thumbnails in the Project Panel can show the effect of applied Master Clip Effects and Source Settings. A keyboard shortcut Command/Control-backslash has been added to hide the application title bar. New lens distortion removal presets have been added for GoPro HERO4, Vision 3, and Inspire 1 cameras. Sound timecode and roll can be displayed in the sequence overlays. Multi-Camera angles can be arranged across multiple pages. The Video Limiter effect can be included in an export preset to keep video levels safe. A new effect, SDR Conform, has been added for tone-mapping HDR content. A preference has been added to shift clips that overlap the trim point during ripple trimming. Sequence timecode can be shown in the marker panel. Grid lines have been added to the Curves in the Lumetri panel. Indic languages are supported in the Titler. Multiple improvements to Merged Clips have been added. The Transform effect has been GPU accelerated.
